We Are Careful with Your Home During This Intricate Process
The house jacking process that S&M Concrete & Jacking undertakes is time-consuming and intricate as we aim to be careful with your home. While some small structural blemishes are possible, the interior of your home will be safe. The house jacking process is performed over a period of time, usually in one day, so furniture and other items inside shouldn’t shift or fall. Before house jacking is started, permits are acquired, basement and exteriors items are moved, and the utilities are disconnected.
Here is How S&M Concrete & Jacking Lifts Your House
S&M Concrete & Jacking uses hydraulic jacks to lift the house. The jacks are placed under the home, and they are linked to a machine that can raise each jack an exact amount at the same time. We will jack up the house a little bit to start the process, and then we check to see if it is safe to continue the process. With each lift, we start stacking cribbing, which are like wooden beams, to support the house. We continue that process until we reach a predetermined height and everything is secured and safe.
Beginning the Work on the Foundation
When the house has been raised to the height that we want it, the crew at S&M Concrete & Jacking will begin working on the foundation, frost walls or footers. As we perform the concrete work, we stay aware of any problems that may arise with the jacking. When we are done with the concrete work, we begin lowering the house, removing the cribbing and the jacks in the process. Contact us if you need our professional house jacking. Rest assured that we are fully insured.
